In recent years, the format of BIMST Public Health Conference has moved away from discussions on streamlining and standardizing border health procedures to a sharing platform on best practices and other public health issues such as health promotion and tobacco control. This change is in keeping with the work carried out by ASEAN Health Cooperation which in recent times have advanced regional cooperation 18to such great lengths that many agreements, joint activities, joint procedures and regional work plans have been executed under the various health working groups. With the re-organisation of the health working groups following Post-2015 Health Development Agenda, work is progressing further under the four ASEAN Health Clusters.
