PERSONAL IMPORTS, TRADE SAMPLES & SEIZED OR DETAINED OR DETAINED GOODS

The decision to release, seize or detain any food products imported for personal consumption is subject to appraisal by  the Royal Customs & Excise Department (RCED), Ministry of Finance .

The importer of the food should be aware that they are accountable for any risk associated with the consumption or use of the product and the item(s) should not be sold, distributed or advertised to the general public.

This also applies to trade samples which are small quantities of food products to be imported solely for administrative or other related purposes and are not intended for sale / use / distribution / advertisements.
