LIST OF RECOGNISED BASIC AND SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS (updated June 2021)

1.    Undergraduate Degrees/ Primary Dental Professional Qualifications

1.1.        Local Degree

Bachelor of Health Sciences (Dentistry) is a three-year programme offered at PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). This is the first phase of a six-year programme in partnership with the chosen Partner Dental School (PDS). Having successfully completed the first phase of the programme at UBD, the students are awarded the Bachelor of Health Science degree. The award of this degree is a requirement for students to progress to the PDS to complete the final phase of the undergraduate dental programme, after which successful students graduate with degrees from overseas respective partner universities.

1.2.        Officially Approved Foreign Institutions and Qualifications

Note: Primary dental professional qualifications numbered *91-*99 will require additional clinical dental professional postgraduate qualification accepted by the Brunei Medical Board (BMB) for registration as a dentist.

The clinical dental postgraduate qualification includes clinical Masters degree in Conservative Dentistry, Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Special Care Dentistry.
