148 new COVID-19 cases reported today, 24 January 2023

IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

In the past week, the number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam continues to show a decrease where the average daily rate of cases last week was 143 cases per day, compared to 223 cases per day in the previous week. A total of 35,365 ART test results were uploaded to the BruHealth application within one week of which 2.8% were positive ART test results.

  1. Today, there are no cases in Category 5 and Category 4 which requires treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or requires oxygen assistance and is under close supervision.

     
  2. As of yesterday, 23 January 2023, the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam remains at a high level with 79.0% of all citizens and residents of this country having received the third dose of the vaccine and 11.8% also having received the fourth dose.

Today, a total of 148 new cases have been reported, of which 147 cases are the result of ART tests and 1 case are the result of RT-PCR laboratory tests that have been performed in the past 24 hours.
