IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

In the past week, the number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam continues to show a decrease where the average daily rate of cases last week was 143 cases per day, compared to 223 cases per day in the previous week. A total of 35,365 ART test results were uploaded to the BruHealth application within one week of which 2.8% were positive ART test results.
- Today, there are no cases in Category 5 and Category 4 which requires treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or requires oxygen assistance and is under close supervision.
- As of yesterday, 23 January 2023, the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam remains at a high level with 79.0% of all citizens and residents of this country having received the third dose of the vaccine and 11.8% also having received the fourth dose.
Today, a total of 148 new cases have been reported, of which 147 cases are the result of ART tests and 1 case are the result of RT-PCR laboratory tests that have been performed in the past 24 hours.
