122 new COVID-19 cases reported today, 06 February2023

IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
15 Rejab 1444 / 06 February 2023

 
1.           In the past week, the number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam continues to show a decrease where the average daily rate of cases last week was 108 cases per day, compared to 122 cases per day in the previous week. A total of 32,615 ART test results were uploaded to the BruHealth application within one week of which 2.3% were positive ART test results.
 
i)           Today, there are no cases in Category 5 which requires treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, there is 1 case in Category 4 or requires oxygen assistance and is under close supervision.
 
ii)         As of yesterday, 05 February 2023, the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam remains at a high level with 79.1% of all citizens and residents of this country having received the third dose of the vaccine and 11.9% also having received the fourth dose.
 
iii)        In the past 24 hours, 1 case of COVID-19 has passed away where the case is categorized as a death due to COVID-19. In this opportunity, myself representing the Ministry of Health as well as the people of Brunei Darussalam, would like to express our deepest condolences to the cases’ family and pray his soul will receive blessings and is placed among the pious. 2.        Today, a total of 122 new cases have been reported, of which 118 cases are the result of ART tests and 4 cases are the result of RT-PCR laboratory tests that have been performed in the past 24 hours.
 
3.        May Brunei Darussalam and all the citizens and residents will always be protected from all disasters and disease outbreaks and under the protection of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. Aamiin Aaminn Ya Rabbalalamin.
