SITUATION OF THE COVID-19 INFECTION

IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

1.    The Ministry of Health would like to inform the public on the current situation of the COVID-19 infection in Brunei Darussalam for Thursday, 06 Rejab 1442 / 18 February 2021, as of 12.00 noon.

2.    The Ministry of Health would like to inform the public regarding the detection of South African variant for one of the cases reported in January 2021. This case was imported from the United Kingdom and has been discharged from hospital at the end of January 2021.

 

3.    The public are advised not to feel anxious on this latest development. The Ministry of Health has taken the necessary regulatory measures to ensure that the infection does not spread. The results of the surveillance activities so far have not found any incidents of infection related to this case in Brunei Darussalam.
