  1. DDS  is to promote the improvement of library services. This service allows remote library patrons and users to request copies of journals articles or may other documents housed at Medical Library RIPAS Hospital or others libraries. The requested articles will be photocopied and sent via E-mail.
     
  2. Register as a DDS User

  3. Request the articles through the Medical Library RIPAS Hospital and other libraries (Medical Library Kuala Belait, Tutong, Temburong Hospital and Library of National Dental Center).
  1. Submitting and received request via E-mail; via fax; or via mail.
     
  2. Fee charges
    1. $1.00 per item (not per page) – not more than 5 pages;
    2. $3.00 per 1 item not more than 10 pages;
    3. Additional charges 5¢ per page after 20 pages.
    4. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health has given instructions to directly deduct salary of the DDS users after the final reminder has been issued.
       
  3. Processing period 2 days (local) 1-2 weeks (overseas) working days for not more than 10 pages
     
  4. Copyright Declaration
    Copy Library materials can only be made available, photocopied, produced, scanned and supplied in accordance with the requirements of the Brunei Darussalam Copyright Law, (Supplement to Government Gazette part II, Emergency (Copyright) Order 1999), which stipulates that:
     
    • Copies are supplied only to persons satisfying the librarian that they require them for the purpose of research or private study, and will not use them for any other purposes;
       
    • No person is furnished with more than one copy of the same article or with copies of more than one article contained in the same issue of a periodical; and
       
    • Persons to whom copies are supplied are required to pay for them a sum not less than the cost (including a contribution to the general expenses of the library) attributable of their production.
