It is the only district hospital separated by physical borders with the main referral hospital (RIPAS hospital)
Every working day, a boat carrying Ministry of Health staff assigned to serve the Temburong district leaves the jetty at RIPAS hospital, one of the few places left in the country where the old traditional way of getting to work by boat is lovingly carried on.
