The Medical Library Management Committee is set up for the following purposes : - To fulfill the role played by the Medical Library in the overall plan by the Ministry of Health in its effort to implement an effective continued medical education program.
- To ensure to an adequate and well-proportioned collection of books, Journals and other reading materials.
- To ensure the smooth running of library services.
- To identify areas for further expansion and for their implementation.
The Ministry of Health appoints a Chairman for the committee. The
Administrative Head of Medical Library shall be in charge of the day to
day running of the library.
The Chairman appoints several committee members who shall assist him /
her in carrying out the various function of the committee.
- Requests to purchase new books, to subscribe new journals or suggestion
for improvement shall be directed to the Chairman of the committee.
